Overview:

 

As a member of the Industrial Design Team, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from generating new product innovations / designs to crafting the 3D model- we are a collaborative ID group that will support and guide but there is no hand-off; you own the design from conception to production. You will demonstrate your full range of product thinking, industrial design, and maker skills to shape the future of personal care products in shaving and grooming.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with our cross-functional teams to inspire, conceptualize, design, test, and develop projects.
  • Own the entire design process with passion—working within an environment where scope and constraints may change quickly.
  • Sketch and prototype physical models of new experiences to bring ideas to life.
  • Use all types of design tools to support form development, design detailing, and prototyping; Create 2D and 3D renderings with photorealistic imagery.
  • Maximize your superior visual communication skills to bring awareness and solicit feedback from partners early and often.
  • Understand and balance user experience and trends with the value of color, materials, and finishes in your designs.

 

What you must Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in an agency and/or in-house design team environment
  • A portfolio of product work relevant to form development, ergonomics
  • You thrive in ambiguous environments.
  • You have excellent hand sketching and surface development skills.
  • Ability to thoughtfully communicate your designs, receive feedback gracefully, and contribute to the work of others.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant digital design tools; Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator Keyshot , Wacom Pad
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling skills, preferably Creo ProE
  • Ample technical knowledge to translate your designs for engineering and manufacturing.
  • Ability to work Autonomously with minimal assistance.
  • Eye towards a future Leadership position.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000.  Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance
