Position Summary

Responsible for supporting indirect procurement sourcing activities in specific marketing subcategories for all of Edgewell Personal Care divisions and affiliates.  Work to develop sourcing events, working productivity initiatives and analyzing the supply market.  Contributes to new supplier selection processes and developing and maintaining supplier relationships.  Works key projects in categories such as End to End Ecommerce, production services, commercial print, marketing fulfillment, licensing and sponsorship. Supports vendor management function in the Marketing & Professional Services categories for Global or North American vendors. Provides key analytical and data support to the Indirect Marketing team.

 

Universal Accountabilities

  • Work with suppliers to ensure that existing services meet their service targets
  • Help discover and coordinate continuous process improvements; helping identify opportunities to increase efficiency and eliminate non-value add activities
  • Interface with key business partners in the Marketing and Sales department.
  • Clearly define what the goals/objectives and create empowered and accountable teams to design, implement and stabilize approved improvements
  • Develop and implement indirect procurement strategy, goals and savings targets in line with company strategy and procurement best-practices
  • Oversees the development and execution of sourcing strategies including the setting of targets, timelines and resource plans while maximizing effect spend under management
  • Negotiates and executes contracts for Global or North American Marketing spend
  • Develops relationships with senior executives from key suppliers and engages them in strategic supplier management for value creation and innovation

Specific Accountabilities

  • Partner with the business to ensure that all appropriate marketing spend is optimized and that we are driving cost reductions with continuous improvement
  • Assist in managing assigned Global and North American Marketing spend to levels that are commensurate with industry benchmarks for a company of our size
  • Support the optimization of vendor management for key marketing vendors to ensure that the company is maximizing the relationships with these strategic vendor relationships
  • Build strong relationships with all business partners and suppliers

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or technical field
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
  • Good consulting skills, specifically in managing change, project management and presenting
  • Strong data and analytical skills
  • Capable of modeling Edgewell’s leadership competencies

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree
  • Vendor management skills
  • Experience in Marketing and Professional Services Strategic Sourcing
  • Management of critical vendor relationships
  • Knowledge of the procure to pay process
  • Experience working on global projects
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal contracts; procurement, consulting or sourcing experience
  • Indirect Procurement or consulting experience, particularly in services and marketing
  • Proven track record of working with multiple senior level stakeholders to deliver results
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including total cost analysis

Working Relationships

  • Reports directly to the Senior Category Manager, Indirect Procurement

Work Environment

  • Office Environment - frequent sitting
  • Travel - will vary (10-25%)
