Position Summary
EPC is looking for a dynamic and energetic procurement professional to join our Global Procurement team.
The Category Lead position manages Direct spend. This position focuses on the strategic aspects of Procurement, and develops and drives Category Strategy for the Raw Materials/Resin/Steel Category which supports EPC's various divisional lines of business including Shave and Femcare.
This position will have a hybrid schedule at either our Milford, CT or Allendale, NJ locations
Specific Accountabilities
- In collaboration with business units and plants, develop and implement Category strategies for assigned commodity and spend
- Responsible for support in development & strategies to deliver cost efficiencies, improving quality/service, and driving innovation across category spend
- Development of industry expertise; conduct detailed supply market analysis and create category profiles
- Lead Strategic Sourcing and supplier evaluation across S2P cycle utilizing the COE/category interplay model
- Drive Supplier negotiations and contract/MSA execution
- Deliver to annual CIP targets
- Actively manage commodity/regional spend along with the supply base and internal relationships that come with assigned segmentation.
- Monitor price/PPV/LE forecasting in the business financial process
- Support NPD activity and innovation stream
- Understand and comply with regulatory bodies and programs
- Maintain and establish key performance Metrics
- SRM – Supplier Relationship Management
- IRM – Internal Stakeholder Relationship
- Budget / planning / financial tracking / analytics
- Support all Procurement Initiatives as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering (or other related degree programs)
- Minimum 18 months – 3 years of category management experience in Sourcing, Procurement consulting and or Operations
- In-depth knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes, organization, and technologies (7 step strategic sourcing process, Total Cost model, RFP/RFQ process)
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant IT systems, including ERP, Spend Analytics, and Contract Management System/SAP/Ariba interfaces
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills are a must, with strong influencing skills
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global organization with minimum supervision
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to interface at all levels of the organization in different parts of the world
- Strong Excel skills, financial and statistical analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), SAP
- Build strong internal relationships across multiple departments and across multiple levels (Marketing, Operations, R&D, Regulatory, IT, Legal, etc.)

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
