Position Summary and Special Duties

The Operator B

  • Capable of using a PC and learning SAP functions for shipping transactions and the ordering of materials required in the production process.
  • Learn, and fully understand all control plans and defect criteria for every molded component produced by Molding. Be able to teach new operators to the department on the process including what must be done with control plans for each component.
  • Check finished product for conformity to specifications. Perform 1st piece inspections, approve molds, sampling, isolate and re-audit questionable product, and customer/supplier communications. Move finished work from various work stations and machines; remove scrap and dispose of rubbish, assist with maintaining inventory control, may keep and maintain daily records.
  • Perform required duties to operate and maintain automated assembly equipment. Operate machine system to achieve high productivity and product quality levels through alertness and attentiveness to detect malfunctions.
  • Physically be able to lift loads and pull skids in order to obtain necessary parts for various operations from departmental storage.  Move materials by hand or with hand truck and deliver to designated work stations. Be able to move (push, pull, or otherwise manipulate) materials up to 30lbs.
  • Capable of clear communication to molding Setups of the non-conformities that may be found.
  • Proper documentation using GDP for all processes and accurate documentation of all GMP production


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Anyone not capable of meeting the requirements listed in the Summary and Special Duties section above need not apply.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
