Under the direction of our Schick Hydro Razors and Blades Manufacturing Manager, provides direct Engineering support to the manufacturing floor for our metal stampings, high speed assembly, and custom packaging operations, while providing support to our continuous process improvement, OEE, cost containment environment.

Plans and performs engineering, design, and other technical/administrative tasks involved in the conceptualization, development, and industrialization of products, equipment, and processes.



The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides technical support to Manufacturing to ensure uninterrupted operations & process improvements.
  • Assists members of cross-functional production teams.
  • Generate system data (metrics) to drive technical focus on targeted area(s).Identifies preventive maintenance activities and schedule. Accountable for managing preventive maintenance programs for all equipment per established procedures.
  • Establishes equipment performance metrics (OEE) for department; uses data analysis to drive process improvements.
  • Develops new product and process specifications and test methods.
  • Develops prototype, pilot line, and production equipment design and specifications.
  • Conducts tests on new designs and equipment.
  • Assists in the creation of designs and conducts research as necessary.
  • Document new procedures, drawing sets and associated work instructions necessary to assist in training hourly colleagues
  • Manages requests for new capital equipment; generates associated CAR's
    • Promotes Central Dispatching process by:
  • Driving system utilization and technical team involvement
  • Leverage system to obtain most effective use of internal resources.
  • Participates in developing mechanic training program and managing associated records. Trains new technical resources as needed.



  • Annual Financial Targets per plan. Specifically: MRO spend relative to departmental repair parts.
  • Lean and project improvement philosophies.
  • Working Relationships: continual communications with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, as well as all levels of management, contact with outside engineering, tooling, materials, fabrication and assembly vendors.

Works in an environment and culture in which Engineers will:

  • Foster Program Management, teamwork and synergy in relationships with other technical groups, Manufacturing, Q.C., and Logistics.

(timeliness, quality, simplicity, innovation) for new product activities.

  • Foster innovation of new products technically driven.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies.



  • BS degree in related Engineering field.
  • Basic skills in engineering computer software, engineering metrology, and test equipment.
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and report writing ability.
  • Must posess 3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment, providing production floor troublshooting and guidance support to machinery, processes and operators.
