Position Summary:

The leader of the supply chain analytics team is a senior-level person responsible for driving the analytics vision, overall leadership and development of the supply chain analytics team.  Responsibilities include managing the team, prioritizing analytics initiatives to align with supply chain strategy and working with IT to secure the funds for technology.  This role is also responsible for setting the metrics framework to measure analytics adoption and success, and for communicating with business partners.

 

Accountabilities

  • Define team roadmap and ensure continual alignment of the analytics team’s efforts with the supply chain strategic objectives
  • Leads and manages the performance of the supply chain analytics team
  • Defines and manages the process for identifying and prioritizing analytics initiatives
  • Builds business cases to secure funding for additional investments in technology
  • Collaborates and networks with supply chain and business leaders to define the strategy for operationalizing and scaling analytics solutions globally
  • Works with supply chains, operations, IT and other business leaders to secure resources that will serve as the extended analytics team
  • Build a strong partnership with the IT group to ensure that supply chain analytics solutions align with the IT roadmap, data governance and strategy
  • Defines a metrics framework for tracking the use of analytics solution and generates ROI
  • Tracks and reports on the performance of the supply chain analytics team, and the impact of its initiatives

 

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor of arts/bachelor of science degree in relevant field, such as supply chain management, analytics, economics or business administration
  • Fifteen years or more in operational supply chain positions (plan, source, make, deliver) or supply chain IT
  • Three to five years in a senior-level role in supply chain strategy group, COE or project management office (PMO)
  • The role demands a strong, well versed leader with effective management and communication skills who can collaborate with and influence supply chain, operations, business and IT partners
  • Experience leading or heavily participating in analytics projects or technology implementations
  • Proven leadership skills managing and motivating resources with vastly different technical, supply chain and business backgrounds

 

Desirable Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in supply chain management or business administration (MBA)
  • Continuing supply chain and analytics education, training and/or certification
  • This is a critical role tasked with defining and executing on an analytics vision to support the supply chain strategy. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence various roles across business, IT, global counterparts, etc.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain strategy and goals ranging from operational efficiency, customer service improvement and agility
  • Experience with SAP, Manugistics, Hana, Power BI and Microsoft suite
