Position Summary

The Business Process Program Manager will evaluate, design, measure, monitor, control and govern business processes by utilizing various methods and tools to optimize systems across Operations, Quality and/or Supply Chain functions.  This position will analyze process requirements, formulate feasible options, develop recommendations, gain stakeholder alignment and implement solutions.  You will lead cross functional teams and may achieve objectives through optimization, standardization, or automation.  You will also engage others in training and change management initiatives.

 

Note: This position may be located in either Milford, CT or Dover DE.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage business process projects by utilizing appropriate program management tools to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, roles/responsibilities and timing.
  • Develop project plans using inputs from cross functional team members, confirming available resources and competing priorities and synchronizing with higher level project requirements.
  • Secure stakeholder and team member alignment, identify and emphasize effective change management strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members and supporting resources to assign tasks, track progress, update schedules, manage priorities, identify and mitigate risks for each assigned project.
  • Provide visibility and communicate frequently with IT leads and ensure alignment as required.
  • Foster teamwork, creativity and prudent risk taking to maximize value and efficiency.
  • Communicate risks and constraints to appropriate levels of management.  Leverage internal and external expertise and resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Be recognized as an owner of Quality and Supply Chain business processes by soliciting feedback, measuring effectiveness and efficiency, training users on new systems and the most efficient techniques and managing change to ensure seamless transitions and user acceptance.
  • Participate in development of programs for the University of Supply Chain and train colleagues as required to enhance Supply Chain workforce development.

 

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 5+ years experience in a related technical IT, Operations, Quality and/or Supply Chain role.
  • 5+ years SAP Experience - PLM Expert level
  • Significant Experience with Business Systems and Process Design
  • Knowledge and Skills to Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Cross functional Leadership experience with strong Collaboration skills
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Project and other program management tools.
  • Proven leadership and strategic thinking abilities, self-motivated and needs little supervision. 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) to effectively interface with cross functional organizations and external agencies.
  • Ability to influence outcomes with consideration for strategic and financial factors and priorities. 
  • Highly developed project management, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.   
  • Strong change management, negotiating and conflict resolution skills. 

 

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Manugistics
  • HPQC
  • Black Belt or Green Belt.
  • Working in a Regulated Business (Pharma, Medical Devices)
  • Demonstrated experience in Change Management 
  • 3+ years of project/program management experience.
  • Previous leadership experience.

 

 

Working Relationships

  • Key global relationships will include colleagues from Procurement, Quality, R&D, Finance, Planning, Marketing, Package Development, Technical Services, Regulatory, Operations, Legal, Regional Markets, IT, and GSC.  External engagement will include 3rd party manufacturing and agency partners.

 

 

Work Environment

  • May require approximately 10% - 20% travel (varies by project).
  • Frequent communication across global locations when required.  For GSC initiatives, specifically with teams responsible for design, development, quality testing, training, and implementation of a new/improved business process or system.
