Position Summary

Ensure that the imports process of the goods traded in Mexico comply with the legal requirements during its transportation and arrival to the Company warehouses, with the purpose of guaranteeing the supply of our products at the customer’s POs.  Make sure that the whole order process from receiving the POs until the delivery to our customers are fully received and processed in our system, managed by 3PL and shipped according to customer requirements and invoicing comply with local authorities requirements to enter the payment cycle without issues.

 Managing the operations with 3PL of inbound, storage and distribution of the merchandise, complying with the requirements of quality, service, timing, and cost previously established, according with the institutional policies and procedures, with the aim of contributing to achieving the business’ strategic goals.

 

Specific Accountabilities

  • Contributes to complying with the ABP (Annual Business Plan).
  • Storage costs and product distribution related to sales (percentage of such cost regarding sales).
  • Control of distribution expenses (special freights, additional storage space, overtime).
  • Time invested in the cycle of an order/request.
  • Percentage of effectiveness in distribution of products (Fill rate), in terms of volume and cost.
  • Percentage of effectiveness in deliveries (timing and quality).
  • Inventory accuracy.
  • Operating cost (warehouse and distribution).
  • In-bound cost control (merchandise coming into warehouses).
  • Organize and lead the destruction process for damaged or expired product
  • Coordinate and control all the 3PL activities related with reverse logistics

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Industrial engineering, preferably. Acceptable: Engineering in Transports, Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years in areas of warehouse and distribution, invoicing, customer service.
  • Management of warehouses (3PLs); distribution; inventory control; cost control; management of suppliers. Import processes – export of goods; cost control; traffic; storage and distribution of goods. Management of invoicing process and customer service.

 Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Desirable English command at intermediate level (read and write).
  • Advanced Office software; search for information in the Internet; Networking; Management software (ERP’s – preferable SAP).

  • Problem-solving ability.
