POSITION SUMMARY:
Operate all Blade Finishing equipment and perform other related blade finishing operations including: Sputter process, In-Line Spray Treatment, In-Line Cure, Post Cure Inspection, Automation, Parts Washer, Inspection and Transfer of Blades and General Blade and Material Handling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Be capable of filling in for all key areas in blade finishing. Duties include: visual and microscopic inspection of blades, monitoring of machines and set u p and operation of equipment, etc.
- Produce quality work, practice safety standards and maintain production standards.
- Be able to identify al 1 blade types
- Inspect blades for cleanliness and defects such as damage, scratched, stained or broken blades and blades improperly loaded into trays.
- Transfer blades to and from trays, sleds, and pins magazines. Using the proper fixturing, remove scrap blades from trays and fill trays to designated level with acceptable blades. Oil inspected blades.
- Maintain a supply of required parts at each workstation to insure a constant flow of production.
- Pick-up and move material in process to and from various operations and deliver finished b lades to the assembly areas.
- Retrieve empty hardware from Assembly Departments.
- Accurately report on Finishing Blade Inventories.
- Clean and separate export hardware. Wrap product and fill export crates.
- Record necessary information on Blade Finishing process sheets and maintain daily production reports as required by the position.
- Be able to sit or stand for up to 7 hours a shift while sorting parts, transferring blades or operating equipment and being mobile for extended periods of time.
- Be able to move (push, pull, or otherwise manipulate) materials up to 50 lbs. into position.
- Be capable of performing detailed manipulation with hands to inspect ai1d so1i product.
- Be able to operate a hand truck.
- Provide ad hoc assistance when necessary, throughout the department.
- Be capable of certifying in all areas of the position.
- Notify supervision of any problems that could affect quality or productivity.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Detect and report unusual conditions to proper supervision. Assist in maintaining good housekeeping throughout the department.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Any additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED
Salary Range: LG4 - $17.51 - $26.72 per hour, based on experience.
