Now, Let’s Get Down to Business
The role heads procurement for Europe markets and is part of the Europe leadership team, working closely with the Regional VP/GM for Europe to help deliver EPC Europe aspirations. The individual will need to collaborate with the Global procurement directors for Direct materials (raws, packaging) and TPM portfolios to deploy respective strategies for Europe. 
Additionally, the role partners with the Operations and Finance leadership in Europe to deliver operations and sourcing P&L objectives for business units serviced from Europe. The role also leads the in-directs procurement portfolio for Europe, requiring strong business partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders to drive sourcing strategy across the S2P cycle. The position engages with senior stakeholders in Finance, Operations, Development, and ESG to meet sustainability goals. 
The procurement director for Europe markets is part of the global Edgewell procurement leadership team and collaborates with the PLT COE/Category interplay model across the market. The role reports directly to the Senior Vice President-Head of Procurement.

Here’s a sample of what you’ll get up to:


•    Partnering with the EULT to deliver market specific targets, both top line growth and COGS improvement.  Also contributes to the delivery of global procurement targets YoY. 
•    Lead the procurement team based in Europe, operating within a matrix procurement organization to deliver objectives. 
•    Acting as the voice of the business, collaborates with Global procurement portfolio directors to develop and deploy Europe relevant portfolio plans. 
•    Partner with the European Leadership Team to influence and drive the Procurement strategic vision. 
•    Oversees the execution of market relevant procurement strategies including the setting of targets, timelines and resource plans while maximizing effect spend under management. 
•    Engages with the operations and finance teams to deliver annual sourcing P&L objectives for Europe and dependent markets. 
•    Leadership abilities - be a driving force, inspiration and coordinator for continuous process improvements; help identify opportunities to increase efficiency and eliminate non-value add activities in the S2P cycle. 
•    Clearly define goals/objectives and create empowered, engaged and accountable procurement team.
•    Identifies supply risks, issues and mitigation plans, communicating / escalating all relevant items to the appropriate stakeholders.
•    Ensure execution of Europe strategic supplier business reviews & collaborate with stakeholders for governance. 
•    Collaborate with Head of ESG for achieving EPC goals in respective portfolios. 
•    Drive contract compliance for Europe in collaboration with category and COE. 
•    Partner with legal and portfolio leaders for supplier performance-based contracts. Drive compliance to contract SOA.
•    Be a catalyst & a role model in procurement to enable business expectations.

We’re looking for an experienced Procurement Leader with significant experience ideally gained within an FMCG or Cosmetics business. While your experience is of course important, we’re all about making useful things joyful, so we love when our prospective candidates are passionate about this too.
 
Here’s what we are looking for:


•    Significant progressive experience in strategic sourcing in direct materials/in-directs. 
•    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, or technical field. 
•    Significant experience with Consumer Goods Company, working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously. 
•    Strong experience in procurement sourcing and business partnering executive level stakeholders. 
•    Negotiation experience across multiple types of scenarios; Blend of strategic and scrappy mindset
•    Proven track record of working within multiple executive level stakeholders to deliver results.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including total cost analysis. 
•    Strong supplier relationship development and CPG industry experience 
•    Excellent interpersonal skills and leading teams; Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
•    Ability to interface with executive management; Good communication skills, specifically in managing change.
•    Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team and to drive change across functions through influence.
•    Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
•    Professional qualification/certification from related professional body, (ISM – CPM/CPSM, APICS) would be an added advantage.
