Position Summary
The Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for driving the execution of the Perfect Store model, monitoring third-party field teams, and ensuring the effective implementation of commercial strategies across points of sales. This role involves managing replenishment resources and coordinating field execution activities at a national level. The Specialist serves as a key point of contact between external agencies, commercial stakeholders, and Edgewell's commercial team, helping identify and capitalize on opportunities that drive sell-out growth and enhance in-store execution.
Accountabilities
- Influence and challenge commercial teams to ensure the successful execution of commercial strategies, driving growth opportunities across all channels.
- Execute third-party workforce strategies aligned with EPC commercial objectives and channel priorities.
- Define and manage the budget for operational needs according to annual allocation and coordination of merchandisers.
- Ensure compliance with contracted merchandising services, supporting proper execution at the point of sale according to commercial guidelines and execution standards.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, stock levels, and promotional execution to identify operational opportunities and risks.
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Marketing and Marketing, and agency supervisors to ensure proper execution at points of sale, compliance with planograms, and visibility initiatives.
- Analyze sell-out indicators, stock-outs, product rotation, and promotional performance to recommend corrective actions and operational improvements.
- Define and monitor perfect execution KPIs across all channels, establishing the core execution standards and performance metrics required to drive consistent in-store excellence.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports related to field execution, promotional effectiveness, store implementations, and channel performance.
- Support the optimization and update of merchandiser routes, coverage, and personnel allocation according to business needs.
- Provide continuous training, coaching, and support to reinforce execution priorities, campaigns, routes, and product launches to supervisors and merchandisers.
- Lead regular meetings with supervisors and field teams to communicate operational priorities, address execution challenges, and follow up on action plans.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, agency partners, and sales teams across assigned channels.
- Ensure the correct inventory levels are maintained by generating the necessary alerts and coordinating actions related to display maintenance, campaign implementation, and visibility standards.
- Ensure regular field trade visits to monitor quality in execution, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure compliance with commercial standards.
- Support store reporting activities, including competitor monitoring, pricing analysis, photographic reporting, and execution tracking.
- Provide operational input during commercial and sales meetings to support decision-making, project execution, and launch readiness
- Support operational and billing reconciliation processes with BI and third-party providers as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Professional with a degree in administrative fields (Commercial Engineering or similar) with 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial roles.
- Result-oriented, capable of working independently and in high-performance environments, with strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge in supervision leading third- party teams, retail logistics, layout and perfect store execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Geographical knowledge of the region for effective field execution.
