       Major Responsibility

Oversee internal manufacturing processes to ensure compliance to desired product and process specifications.  Identify process quality & reliability concerns and develop process data to share with Process Team members to promote improvement.  Develop & implement measurement systems to improve usability and consistency.  Champion structured problem solving to identify and resolve process/product issues such as scrap and customer complaints.


Must develop good working relationships with internal team members from operators to top management.  Work closely with Corporate Engineering, Consumer Products Quality Leader, Purchasing and others in regards to the development, procurement, and implementation of equipment, tools, fixtures, etc. to improve our processes.  Monitor processes/products to ensure compliance & provide feedback to the organization.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Review new/changed products and processes to identify potential issues of manufacturability.
  • Document procedures, instructions, standards, etc. with clarity for other colleagues.
  • Coordinate measurement of process efficiency and quality using the OEE framework.
  • Actively participate in the training of critical procedures with Operations and QA.
  • Work with Design, Engineering, and Operations to qualify new/changed processes.
  • Perform audits and statistical studies on new and existing processes and products.
  • Lead problem solving efforts using problem solving techniques such as 8D, 5 WHY, FMEA, DOE, 6σ.
  • Respond to customer complaints, investigate, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Work with Operations and QA to clarify standards and disposition nonconforming material.
  • Develop & implement process/product performance measurement systems.
  • Drive prevention of defects with implementation of quality control equipment and/or systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.



B.S. Degree - Engineering Discipline Preferred

Other 4 year degrees are acceptable in conjunction with appropriate experience



  • Minimum 3-5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.



  • Excellent interpersonal verbal & written communications skills required.
  • Ability to use structured problem solving (8D, 5 WHY, FMEA, DOE, 6σ)
  • Working knowledge in application of statistics and statistical process controls.
  • Experience in development and evaluation (R&R) of measurement systems.
  • Ability to collect, organize, and present data to make a decision/conclusion.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system standard.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with MS Excel & Minitab.
  • Exposure to customers making consumer products a plus.
  • Can interpret engineering drawings & specifications.
  • Teamwork/Collaborative style a must
