MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

Ensure team members are provided with the materials, equipment, and resources necessary to meet customer demand.  Develop the lean culture and a team environment through coaching, mentoring and motivation.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Lead by positive example from the foundation of EPC’s Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Performance, Outside-in Focus, Action Oriented, and Teamwork.
  2. Support continuous improvement initiatives through the use of lean principles that relate to policy deployment objectives.
  3. Plan, organize, and direct activities that satisfy production requirements as specified by the kanban system while ensuring efficient utilization of equipment, methods, and materials.
  4. Establish alternatives and contingency plans to prevent production and equipment downtime issues.
  5. Maintain good employee relations and resolve personnel policy matters as necessary.
  6. Conduct new hire evaluations and annual performance reviews for all members on team.
  7. Help develop and maintain SQDC metric tracking methods for processes within the facility.
  8. Create, maintain, and communicate end of shift performance reports.
  9. Verify, adjust, and approve team member attendance via ADP E-time.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure every job is performed safely for the benefit of self, co-workers, and contractors for the protection of the facility.  This includes monitoring the use of required personal protective equipment and the use of safety equipment/devices, guarding, as well as safe working practices.
  2. Immediately report every job related injury or illness, regardless of severity, to a member of management.
  3. Assist in investigating accidents as necessary.
  4. Review Material Safety Data Sheet instructions before working with any chemical product.
  5. Maintain safe working conditions by the ensuring the work area is clean and orderly.

 

QUALITY ASSURANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Colleagues are responsible for their own quality and that of colleagues within their span of control.
  2. Colleagues are responsible to follow all established Quality procedures and instructions.
  3. Notify management for all corrective actions if and when defects are found and/or parts/processes do no conform to specifications.
