We are looking for a someone with government relations experience to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Schick, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare for Men, Jack Black and recently acquired Cremo Grooming… just to name a few!).

 

Now, Let’s Get Down to Business
Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs (based in North America) you will work with the Regulatory and Sustainability leadership in developing and executing strategic plans to advance and advocate for Edgewell’s global interests related to sustainability, climate/carbon, plastics, EPR and the circular economy. The position will establish and maintain constructive working relationships with industry associations and regulatory agencies, advocating company positions on important legislative, regulatory and policy issues. Extensive communication and coordination with global internal stakeholders and international trade associations will be essential to ensure internal and external alignment with Edgewell business objectives. In addition, you will lead regulatory analysis, risk assessments and issue recommendations to the business and communicate with government officials in representation of the company. Are You Ready to Show Us What You’ve Got? 
Ideally you will have similar experience gained within a commercial, chemical, cosmetics or consumer goods company.
In addition, it would be great if you have the following skills and experience:

 

•    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; preferably in Political Science, Sustainability, Chemistry or other related sciences.
•    Experience in government or government relations trade association lobbyist or corporate lobbyist.
•    Experience in product development, product marketing, or sustainability.
•    Technical background or exposure to chemical or energy-related industry preferred.
•    Strong understanding of carbon, environmental product stewardship, recycling, biomaterials, composting, and plastics policies.
•    Experience with product certification process for new materials.
•    Knowledge and experience on North America and International regulatory standards, applicable laws and regulations to the OTC drugs and Cosmetic products categories, as well as of cGMP standards.
•    Relationships with EU institutions is an advantage, such as European Commission, EU Member State Authorities and/or the European Parliament.  
•    Existing relationships within key US regulatory agencies such as the EPA, DOT and OSHA, Congressional offices and key committees preferred.
