Manage the process of supply planning, prepack planning/assembly & material planning and procurement.  Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Forecasting, Operations, Affiliates & 3rd party vendors to support new product/program delivery including project & production planning & cost management of secondary displays & materials vs. standard costs while maintaining minimal inventories & controlling obsolescence costs.  Provide systems support for master data for materials, vendor information, standard costs, etc.  Coordinate production schedules for in-house packing and monitor deliveries from outside suppliers & expedite as necessary.



  • Execute tasks to support product realization of various secondary displays and prepacks to support Marketing, Sales and Production requirements for new product introductions, display program and graphic/packaging changes and product discontinuations.
  • Initiate appropriate manufacturing orders, plan & execute purchase orders and monitor performance against delivery schedules to ensure component and material availability to support finished goods fulfillment of secondary displays & prepacks.  Resolve issues and facilitate delivery of finished products.
  • Initiate, support and implement cost savings where possible.
  • Develop purchasing procedures as required.
  • Manage costs & minimize inventory obsolescence exposure.  Review, revise, expedite & communicate plans with other support personnel as required.
  • Evaluate and respond to cost estimate requests for material and labour costs.
  • Continuously monitor finished goods inventory levels against forecasts & planned objectives.  Advise Commercial Team of low/out of stock situations.
  • Plan & purchase packaging materials to support production.
  • Prepare various inventory reports (SLOBS, stock outs, inventory projections, etc.) as required.
  • Review Packaging Specifications for new or revised secondary pack SKU’s as required.
  • Provide back-up functions for other supply chain positions as required.



  • Business college diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years experience in manufacturing planning and purchasing or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency with various computer software programs. 
  • Experience with SAP & Manugistics
  • Experience in the development & procurement of consumer products & packaging materials.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems and supporting requirements.



  • Strong verbal & written communication skills including the ability to influence the decision-making process.
  • Strong initiative and results-oriented.  Good judgment.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Highly developed project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to successfully work within and promote a team environment.
