JOB SUMMARY

The Primary function of this position is to sample, inspect and/or test products per appropriate standards. Record results in the appropriate documentation and monitor process parameters according to departmental procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  1. Comply with all safety work rules always. Actively participate in safety initiatives.
  2. Sample in process, finished components and products per departmental procedures.
  3. Inspect and test sampled products or components and compare results to standards and specifications.
  4. Record results of inspection or test on proper form.
  5. Make appropriate accept/reject decisions and fill out NCM's as necessary.
  6. Notify supervisor and mechanic or operator of results.
  7. Maintain proper records and paperwork.
  8. Monitor and record process parameters as required by departmental procedures.
  9. Maintain cleanliness of work area and organize process rework generated by QC.
  10. Follow all Edgewell Safety and QSR/GMP policies and guidelines.
  11. Work effectively within a team environment and support other team members to achieve individual, team, department, and plant goals.

  13. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

 

HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be aware of and follow the Environmental Policy and EH&S work instructions/procedures that apply to the job.
  • Perform every job safely, for the benefit of self, co-workers, contractors, and for the protection of facilities. This includes the use of required personal protective equipment and use of safety equipment/devices, guarding, as well as safe work practices.
  • Immediately report every job-related injury or illness, regardless of severity, to a team leader/supervisor.
  • Assist in investigating accidents as directed by your supervisor.
  • Take necessary actions to correct or stop any unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and training.  
  • Review Material Safety Data Sheet instructions before working with any chemical product.
  • Maintain work area in safe condition by ensuring the work area is clean and orderly.

 

QUALITY ASSURANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately and timely complete all Quality checks and properly document.
  • Colleagues are responsible for their own quality and that of colleagues within their span of control.
  • Colleagues are responsible to follow all established Quality procedures and instructions.
  • Notify supervision for corrective action if and when defects are found and/or parts/processes do not conform to specifications.

 

 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Experience:  
    • Over one month – up to six months
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Continuous moving or lifting of very light weight material weighing over 1 lb. to 15 lbs. over 15% to 40% of the time.
