The primary purpose of this position is to provide the plant floor with high Quality customer focused Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) services. The core services include identifying, requesting, issuing, receiving, cycle counting, organizing, restocking & handling data entry for parts & service. Additional activities include identifying cost reduction opportunities, developing Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and supporting Maintenance kitting requirements. The plant floor customer base being served includes all functional groups in the Internal Sanitary protection (ISP) and External Sanitary protection (ESP) business units (across two MRO Store Room locations).


  1. Search, identify options, issue, receive, stock, deliver, cycle count & monitor min/max levels of requested items.
  2. Complete all SAP data transactions and supporting documentation in compliance with financial policy.
  3. Comply with EHS&S procedures for safe storage of flammables, hazardous materials, chemicals & hazardous waste and handles recycling activities associated with MRO items (batteries, aerosols, etc.).
  4. Work with Maintenance Planners to maintain accurate Bill Of Materials (BOM’s) within SAP, fill pick list requests & compile kits for scheduled Maintenance activities.
  5. Perform physical inventories to reconcile stock records, assess min/max levels and review inventory activity.
  6. Complete requirements associated with warranty and “returned item”
  7. Generate reports (usage, costing, etc.) as needed to evaluate stock usage and requirements
  8. Be personally responsible to complete all activities in a safe, efficient & customer friendly manner & notify management of all unsafe conditions.
  9. Identify opportunities to standardize parts, reduce inventory levels, improve quality or provide value added attributes to the stock room. Work with MRO Specialists as necessary to accomplish these objectives.
  10. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition, apply 5S methods of control.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.           


  • Comply with EHS&S procedures for safe storage of flammables, hazardous materials, chemicals & hazardous waste and handles recycling activities associated with MRO items (batteries, aerosols, etc.).
  • Identify and label all incoming chemical supplies with correct hazardous labels.


  • Follow all FDA and GMP policies and procedures.
  • Perform occasional incoming inspections of parts and supplies.     
  • Follow all Change Control procedures, (Like for Like, Like in Kind) when purchasing, issuing or receiving.           


  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

    • None
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Ability to work overtime as needed.
    • Ability to obtain a fork lift operator’s certificate.
    • Demonstrate basic computer skills. (Microsoft packages and SAP)
    • Ability to provide clear verbal & written communication.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team structure.
    • Ability to be a self-starter: “See the need and perform it.”
    • Ability to work with skilled professional outside the MRO team.
    • Professional customer service people skills.
  • Testing:
  • None needed to attain position.


  • Experience:
    • Two (2) years’ experience issuing machine or auto parts, and minimum of three (3) years of receiving, stocking or inventory control experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge in SAP.
  • Working knowledge of Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or plumbing parts and their use
