Channel Sales Manager

Design, implement, manage, and control the sales strategy at the company to achieve results in all incumbent retail environments, not just related to volume, but also in terms of profitability, adhering to the commercial budget assigned to him/her, and a market share that is aligned with the strategy defined in the annual plan. Building strong commercial relationships at a Sub-Direction or Direction levels across all functional areas of our customers.
Universal Accountabilities

Understand drivers of business performance, trends, and opportunities at the customer and channel level and provide vision and strategic thinking to anticipate future needs and recommend business building ideas.

Generate channel vision and short- and long-term retail environment strategy to develop profitable growth in the channel and in top customers, assuring the achievement of commercial and financial targets.

Develop the Customer development (Sales) Annual Business Plan and develop winning business strategies for all channels and customers.

Influence and collaborate to enable the IBP process aligned with the customers strategy and planning process.

Develop, gain, and maintain engagement and strategic cross functional alignment with customers and work with them towards defined JBP to deliver EDGEWELL and customer strategic and financial targets.

Lead and implement the strategies to increase sales of the different distribution channels across de country.

Define and optimize, along with the commercial group, the brand/trade activities that will increase market share, numeric distribution and averaged distribution for all brands.

Lead local and international negotiations with the Company's main customers, participating in global / regional meetings.

Lead internally the cross functional team to align the customers’ plans and goals to Edgewell’ s developing the required plans and tools to achieve High Performance Collaboration.

Provide timely visibility to the company and his team about current plans, risks and opportunities and develop the strategy to be successful in the channel across retail environments.

Create and develop a team engagement that creates a sense of belonging and compromise with the company, strengthening the teams “voice” to the company’s local and regional leadership.

Work as a team with the Marketing and Trade areas, to define and implement growth strategies by brand, channel, and geographic area.

Along with his team, develop the Company's annual Sales/trade plan by retail environment.

Audit and oversee the proper execution and compliance with the Company's policies and procedures in all distribution channels.

Responsible for compliance with the sales budget and collections, Deflator and Indirect Overhead (Sales Outsourcing).

Lead the Sales Team in achieving the goals established in terms of profitability and market share, by business line.

Along with Trade, lead the category implementation processes and shopper/Merchandising Execution guidelines for all our brands.

Seek the professional development of direct reports and high potential groups, in order to provide motivation and orientation to results, and at the same time, reinforce the succession plan.
Specific Accountabilities

Build strong relationship interdependencies along with back office staff within the local markets and the Hubs (HR, SC, Trade, and Marketing) to ensure the forecasting accuracy and Working Capital metrics.

Ensure a healthy, good work environment, with strong influential capabilities, with strong strategic skills but at the same time being hands on the business. Also, change management and multitasking ability.

This position will lead 5 senior Sales Teammates that can expand as needed to service the whole country’s retail environment needs.
Required Skills and Experience
-
Major in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering.

Experience in Modern Trade and Traditional Trade Management mandatory.

Advanced English language.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Preferred Sales / Strategic Management post degree.

Marketing / Trade Marketing / Strategic Management preferred experience.
Working Relationships

Reports to National Sales Manager. Key relationships internally will include Marketing, Trade Marketing, Business Intelligence, Supply Chain and Finance. External engagement will include key customers and business partners.

This position has 5 direct reports including: Key Account Manager, Business Developer Executive and Sr. Key Account Manager, etc.
