Position Summary

This position represents an excellent opportunity for a tax professional that is looking for experience in a wide range of tax functions which will continue to build as the person learns more about the company and the tax department.  This position reports directly to the Manager, Income Tax Compliance and will be responsible for working within the framework of a team.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to coordinate, monitor and review all U.S. compliance outsourcing activities to ensure timely/accurate filing of all tax returns (corporate income, franchise, sales/use, property tax, etc.).
  • Coordinate, prepare, and analyze information related to the filing of all tax returns, quarterly estimated payments and extension payments.
  • Assist with federal and state corporate tax, sales and use tax audits and preparation of information requested by tax authorities.
  • Assist with the quarterly and annual tax provision process.
  • Assist with the management of the income tax and deferred tax accounts.
  • Assist with worldwide transfer pricing compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor all tax calendars to ensure all due dates and requirements are met in a timely/accurate manner.
  • Research various federal, state and international tax issues.
  • Monitor and prepare correspondence to state and local tax jurisdictions
  • Assist with special projects as needed, including coordination with other departments and foreign offices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or large corporation tax department.  
  • Experience with the preparation and consolidation of federal and state income tax returns; US International compliance a plus.
  • Experience with sales and use tax and property tax returns.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and in written form, with all levels of the organization. 
  • Team player with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
