Position Summary

Develop, propose, communicate, and manage the forecasting process for Distributors. Ensure timely submission of forecasts to supply locations and collaborate closely with them to manage uncertainties, aiming to achieve high customer service standards.

Universal Accountabilities

1) Drive and manage the Edgewell Business Planning (EBP)/(S&OP) process for key Latin American (LatAm) distributors. Facilitate cross-functional alignment across the cluster to enhance service levels and optimize net sales by delivering comprehensive visibility into inventory status and sales performance for all relevant stakeholders.

2) Lead the monthly forecasting process by collecting, reviewing, and adjusting sales forecasts from distributors across the region. Analyze forecast outputs, identify discrepancies versus historical data or trends, and challenge forecast submissions to ensure alignment and consistency with distributor demand patterns.

3) Maintain close communication with the commercial team to capture emerging trends and incorporate collaborative forecasts with customers, as well as key actions into the projections to ensure accurate and up-to-date demand planning:

4) Support sales, marketing, and brand/product teams by monitoring demand trends related to key distributors, with a focus on product introductions and discontinued items. Ensure accurate forecasting and alignment during product lifecycle transitions.

5) Implement and manage Manugistics as the primary system for communicating purchase forecasts to sourcing locations, ensuring accurate and timely data flow to support supply planning.

6) Support the end-to-end order management process and supply planning related activities at sourcing warehouses, ensuring alignment with distributor forecasts to prevent product obsolescence, stockouts, and overstock situations.

Specific Accountabilities

1) Deploy the Demand planning agenda to act as a key contact among stakeholders of the EBP process.

2) Hold periodic meetings with sales representatives and/or key distributors to review past performance and demand trends; foster collaborative forecast and implement continuous improvement projects and processes.

3) Communicate the consensus demand / purchase plan to the supply organization for synchronization and integration with the plants.

4) Calculate and monitor Demand & Supply Planning KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy & Forecast Bias in order to achieve targets by improving forecast quality, providing detailed visibility to sales and marketing management regarding forecast variances, highlighting areas that require adjustment to ensure more accurate and aligned projections.

5) Ensure that forecast is loaded to Manugistics considering the 36 months forecast horizon and frozen periods according with each sourcing.

6) Provide demand insights and business product knowledge to statistical models; ensure data integrity by maintaining accurate historical sales, backorders, product hierarchies, Demand Forecast Units (DFUs), and performing database maintenance.

7) Manage the product portfolio by ensuring that new product introductions and promotional items are incorporated into the forecasting process, taking into account the frozen periods specific to each sourcing location.

8) Assist in resolving issues related to forecast discrepancies and over forecasting by identifying root causes, analyzing variances, and aligning projections with actual demand trends.

9) Provide timely input to monthly regional EBP/S&OP meeting and participate actively in the process regarding demand plan performance.

10) Identify and collaborate with sales representatives and distributors to manage overstocked or underperforming SKUs. Oversee the management of write-offs and slow-moving finished goods, supplies, and raw materials to optimize inventory levels. Support in supply-demand reports development, control and follow up to maintain inventory quality.

11) Monitor and review each purchase order, providing approvals, visibility and updates to the Commercial and International Customer Service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and alignment.

12) Strive for continuous improvement in processes, information management, and client relationships.

Required Skills and Experience

· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Demand Planner (experience in multinational consumer goods companies is a plus).

· Excellent communication, support, and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with distributors, sales, and marketing teams and drive consensus on accurate forecasting.

· Strong ability to challenge assumptions and defend positions through thorough analysis and well-founded arguments.

· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Advanced analytical and mathematical skills, including proficiency in Excel (advanced functions and data analysis).

· Proven capability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments.

· Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills and Experience

· Experience in the use of planning/forecasting software (Manugistics preferred)

· Certification in Logistics, Planning or Forecasting related studies are preferred

· Desired previous experience working with Distributors
