The Accounts Receivable & Credit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounts receivable and credit operations across multiple Latin American markets. This role leads a team of two or more direct AR/Credit Analysts and coordinates activities with an outsourced BPO team, ensuring timely collections, credit risk control, compliance with local regulations, and achievement of cash flow objectives. The position requires strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and bilingual communication skills.

This position is responsible for optimizing cash flow and minimizing financial risk to achieve key metrics for cash flow (Days Sales Outstanding, DSO, Past Due, forecast accuracy) and tactical operations

 

People & Team Leadership

  • Directly supervise and develop a team of 2+ Accounts Receivable and Credit Analysts.
  • Lead, coordinate, and monitor performance of an external BPO team handling AR and collections activities.
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance standards for internal and outsourced teams.
  • Provide coaching, training, and continuous feedback to improve team performance and engagement.

 

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Oversee daily AR operations, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding receivables in accordance with regional targets.
  • Monitor AR aging, DSO, overdue balances across Latin American markets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize AR processes and controls.

 

 Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Legal).
  • Maintain effective communication with country finance teams and regional leadership.
  • Ensure alignment between internal teams and BPO service providers.

 

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and local regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present regular AR and credit performance reports to management.
  • Support internal and external audits related to AR and credit processes.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Credit roles.
  • Proven experience at least 3 years supervising teams and managing BPO or shared services environments.
  • Solid experience working with multiple Latin American markets (tax, payment behaviors, currency considerations).
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management and collections strategies.

  • Bilingual proficiency: English and Spanish.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • ERP experience (SAP) and strong Excel skills.
