Position Summary

Visionary leader to serve as Vice President of Walmart & Club– All Categories. This role is responsible for driving enterprise-wide growth, profitability, and market leadership across all brand categories at Walmart. The VP will be the primary strategic and commercial partner to Walmart’s senior leadership, shaping omni-channel strategies, delivering exceptional business results, and elevating the brand’s presence across every category.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and executive gravitas. The VP will lead a high-performing team, influence enterprise priorities, and execute initiatives that deliver both short-term wins and long-term sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Leadership & Enterprise Strategy: Serve as the key interface between the organization and Walmart’s executive team. Develop and implement comprehensive, multi-category strategies that drive revenue, profit, and share growth while strengthening long-term retailer partnerships.
  • Category & Brand Leadership: Partner with Business Unit Heads and cross-functional teams to align brand and category strategies with Walmart’s business priorities. Oversee pricing, promotion, assortment, merchandising, and innovation strategies that maximize shopper impact and commercial performance.
  • Influence & Negotiation: Represent the company at the highest levels with Walmart leadership, negotiating enterprise-level initiatives, funding, and strategic investments. Build trusted relationships and act as a strategic advisor to both internal and external leaders.
  • Organizational Development & Talent: Lead, mentor, and inspire a senior team of category, customer, and commercial leaders. Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance excellence.
  • Operational Excellence & Growth Delivery: Oversee forecasting, P&L management, inventory planning, long-lead business planning, and execution of programs across multiple categories. Identify operational efficiencies and growth opportunities to ensure sustainable results.

 

  • Customer & Shopper Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer and the Walmart shopper across the organization. Translate insights into actionable strategies that enhance the customer experience and drive business outcomes.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics, insights, and post-activation reviews to measure performance, inform decisions, and optimize category strategies.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in customer management, category management, insights, or sales strategy with significant experience managing enterprise retail relationships.
  • Proven executive presence with experience engaging Senior retail leaders and leading high-stakes negotiations.
  • Deep understanding of omni-channel retail, customer management processes, category management principles, and large-scale commercial execution.
  • Exceptional analytical, financial, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Retail Link/Atlas, IRI, and other analytics platforms.

Impact & Scope:

This role drives enterprise-level performance across Walmart, influencing multi-category strategy, shaping business priorities, and leading a high-performing team to deliver sustainable growth.

 

The salary range for this position is $208,000-300,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
