Position Summary:

The Customer Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading customer supply chain execution and collaboration for Walmart and Club customers, ensuring alignment between customer demand, inventory, replenishment, logistics, and operational execution. This role serves as a key liaison between Customer Teams, Demand Planning, Operations, Logistics, and Retail Customers to deliver best-in-class service, optimize inventory, and support business growth.

The Customer Supply Chain Manager utilizes customer insights, supply chain analytics, and collaborative planning processes to identify risks and opportunities, improve forecast accuracy, and ensure successful execution of replenishment, promotional, seasonal, and new item initiatives. This role is accountable for driving customer service performance while supporting continuous improvement efforts that enhance supply chain responsiveness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute customer supply chain strategies that optimize service, inventory, forecast alignment, and operational efficiency while supporting customer and company objectives.
  • Participate in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and customer collaboration processes by aligning customer demand signals with supply capabilities, inventory objectives, and business priorities.
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Teams to ensure alignment between forecasts, replenishment strategies, customer expectations, and operational execution.
  • Monitor and analyze customer supply chain performance metrics including OTIF, fill rate, UFR, on-shelf availability, inventory health, weeks of supply, forecast accuracy, forecast bias, order cycle time, and service levels; identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead customer-facing supply chain collaboration activities including CPFR, replenishment planning, inventory management discussions, seasonal readiness reviews, service recovery planning, and issue resolution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members responsible for customer collaboration, CPFR analytics, customer order processing, deduction management, and customer service execution activities.
  • Oversee deduction management processes, including root cause analysis, recovery efforts, corrective action plans, and cross-functional follow-up to reduce recurring deductions.
  • Manage customer supply execution for new item introductions, product launches, promotional events, display programs, transitions, discontinuations, and inventory exit activities.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to demand variability, supply constraints, production disruptions, transportation challenges, and customer service performance; develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Utilize customer and supply chain systems, analytics, and reporting tools to identify trends, improve visibility, reduce lost sales opportunities, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Leverage Walmart and customer-specific supply chain tools, including Retail Link, Luminate, Nova, Item 360, Supply Plan, and other planning and analytics platforms, to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process standardization, and best practices that improve service performance, forecast quality, inventory productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support achievement of NWT goals through team accountability, customer focus, process discipline, and execution excellence.

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Supply Chain, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Logistics, Operations, or related disciplines, preferably within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting Walmart, Sam's Club, or large retail customer supply chain operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with CPFR, customer collaboration, replenishment planning, forecasting, inventory management, S&OP, or Integrated Business Planning processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Customer Teams, Demand Planning, Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Customer Service organizations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems, planning tools, reporting platforms, and supply chain analytics solutions.
  • Experience utilizing Walmart tools such as Retail Link, Luminate, Nova, Item 360, or similar customer-facing analytics platforms preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and customer relationship management skills with the ability to influence outcomes across a matrix organization.

 

Working Relationships:

  • Work with marketing, sales, operations, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless supply chain operations
  • Facilitate alignment between demand signals and supply execution
  • Lead coordination of customer-facing fulfillment initiatives across departments

 

The salary range for this position is $108,000-162,000.00

 

Compensation for this position varies based on a range of equal opportunity factors, including but not limited to role scope, level of experience, relevant skills, education and credentials, external and internal benchmarks for equivalent roles and experience, business sector, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the specific facts and circumstances of each case. In addition to base salary, the total rewards package may also include, for eligible roles, bonus, and long-term Incentive.
