Position Summary:

The Product Stewardship Data Manager is responsible for two key areas: (1) coordinating and managing post

market product inquiries from retail and commercial partners across all EPC product categories; and (2) enabling robust data management for chemical compliance and EPR programs through advanced Excel, Power BI, and AI-assisted solutions.

This role requires exceptional technical capability in Excel, Power BI, and data systems; strong communication skills;

and the ability to learn and apply regulatory concepts with guidance.

 

 

Accountabilities

Data & Systems (60%):

·       Build and optimize Excel and Power BI solutions.

·       Consolidate and restructure large datasets (SAP, WERCS).

·       Develop automated workflows using Power Query and AI tools.

·       Support chemical and packaging data architecture improvements.

Product Stewardship & Retailer Support (40%):

·       Lead internal coordination among cross-functional teams to provide documentation and data required by retail partners.

·       Manage and respond to product stewardship inquiries from external stakeholders.

·       Serve as a primary point of contact for retailer-driven compliance questionnaires.

·       Issue compliance statements and certifications.

·       Develop and maintain a library of standardized compliance statements.

·       Improve consistency and efficiency in company responses.

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in business management, data management, computer science, or life science required

·       Expert Excel user (Power Query, data modeling).

·       Strong Power BI capability.

·       Experience with SAP, WERCS, or ability to learn quickly.

·       Demonstrated fluency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude).

·       Strong critical thinking and learning agility.

·       Excellent communication skills.

·       High attention to detail and organizational skill.

 

 

Desirable Education, Skills and Experience

·       Masters degree in business management, data management, computer science, or life science preferred

 

Working Relationships

 

·       Product Safety, R&D, Technical Services, Quality, Legal, Packaging, Supply Chain.

 

The salary range for this position is $112,000 - 168,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
