Position Summary:

 

This following are key responsibilities for this position:

 

  • To provide analytical/technical support for product development, quality, product safety and regulatory departments
  • To perform method validations, method transfers and method equivalencies
  • To develop raw material and finished formula specs and analytical reports
  • To update and maintain SOP’s relative to department

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Performs routine/non-routine chemical analyses on both finished formulations and raw materials; analyzes and interprets data and reports results
  • Validates analytical test methods
  • Provides technical assistance to other departments
  • Develops raw material specifications, finished product specifications and SOPs in concert with Product Development and Quality
  • Participates in one to two R&D teams/task forces designed to improve R&D systems.      
  • Keeps current with analytical technical literature and developments in analytical instrumentation.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience

 

  • B.S degree in chemistry/chemical engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Analytical and/or QC of consumer products, pharmaceutical, food industries or government agency
  • Experience in a GxP environment
  • Good computer skills (MS Office) and experience in operating computerized laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC and FT-IR
  • Working knowledge of Chromatographic Data Systems (i.e., Chromeleon, Empower)

 

Desirable Education, Skills and Experience

 

  • Working knowledge of the principles and applications of spectroscopy, chromatography, wet analytical chemistry and statistics
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and work well under pressure, with moderate supervision
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate with all levels of management
  • Good team/interpersonal skills
  • Results-oriented and self-motivating.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to display a degree of flexibility and adapt effectively to change.

 

 

The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $84,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
