Customs Analyst

JOB OBJETIVE

Handling and analyzing shipping documents to determine the proper import or export process according to the applicable customs regime, generating invoices for border crossing through the port of Nogales, as well as providing customs agents and carriers with the various documents that ensure legal, tax, and commercial compliance for each shipment processed.

ACTIVITIES

Follow up and provide timely responses to emails notifying or requesting shipments from suppliers or our internal clients.

Check the existence in Annex 24 (A24) of the part numbers that appear in import or export requests.

Analyze and identify compliance according to TIGIE and RRNA before dispatch or import, and request the process if a new alert appears in the system.

Check if the goods to be imported or exported comply with internal procedures for entry or exit through the plant's MRP.

Process customs proforma invoices in the A24 program, generate reading files for customs agents.

Prepare the Complement Carta Porte for each import or export shipment.

Request customs declaration proformas before payment to compare against the customs invoice and make sure Annex 22 matches A24 exactly, review the settlement table and request authorization.
