OBJECTIVE
The Air & LATAM Customs Analyst is responsible for coordinating and ensuring customs compliance for air import and export operations across Latin America. This role supports customs clearance activities, customs broker management, trade compliance requirements, transportation coordination, and regulatory adherence, while minimizing delays, tariff exposure, and compliance risks.
The position acts as the primary liaison between freight forwarders, customs brokers, airlines, government agencies, internal teams, and business partners to ensure the timely movement of goods in full compliance with all regulations.
• Act as the primary customs compliance contact for Latin American operations. Coordinate customs brokers across LATAM countries. Ensure consistency in customs processes and procedures. Monitor regulatory changes affecting imports and exports. Support the implementation of regional trade compliance initiatives. Standardize customs documentation requirements across the region.
• Manage daily air import and export shipments for LATAM and North American countries.
• Coordinate shipment bookings with freight forwarders and carriers.
• Monitor shipment status from origin to final destination.
• Ensure timely customs clearance to avoid delays, storage charges, and production disruptions.
• Review and validate shipping documentation prior to shipment release.
• Support urgent and premium freight shipments.
• Escalate shipment delays and implement recovery plans.
