Edgewell Personal Care is hiring a community & content intern to support our growing social media presence for our suncare brands (Banana Boat & Hawaiian Tropic). The ideal candidate is interested and immersed in the world of social, has strong communication and relationship-building skills, and is excited about collaborating with the team on content ideation & development.

 

We are looking for a creative, out-of-the-box thinker to elevate our social presence and help insert our brands into relevant conversations and trending moments. This candidate will be responsible for managing both brand’s TikTok handles as it pertains to content development, content management and community interaction. Additionally, this candidate will assist in influencer identification, creator outreach and high-level competitive analysis. This role will require full immersion into each brand – it’s products, consumers & competitors.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Content Creation: generate relevant, relatable video content (~2 videos/week minimum) to be featured on each brand’s TikTok channels based on trendspotting and key brand / retail priorities
  • TikTok Community Management: respond to consumers who are engaging with our brand on TikTok and eagerly seeking out new, fun ways to engage beyond the conversation that we’re being tagged in; key day-to-day responsibilities include:
    • Responding to consumer comments & inquiries in a timely manner
    • Engaging with influencers, creators & like-minded brands to build brand love and optimize conversation
    • Proactively seeking out online conversations to insert our brands into in an authentic way
    • Identifying gifting/seeding/surprise & delight opportunities
    • Monitoring online conversation to identify key trends & relevant moments that our brands can tap into
  • Influencer & Partnership Identification: create a master database for both brands of relevant influencers & brand partners who we can collaborate with on future campaigns and seeding programs
  • Brand Strategy Assistance: assist our Brand Strategy team on a project-by-project basis; key responsibilities include:
    • Additional video creation for selling & promotional materials
    • Competitive analysis
    • Product fulfillment & shipment
    • Admin work

 

*Applicants will be asked to submit two social-first video examples that they’ve concepted and created during the interview process.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from bachelor’s program with a recommended focus on digital marketing
  • Immersed in the social media landscape with a pulse on trends & platform updates
  • Well-versed in all key social channels/platforms and their respective best practices
  • Ability to create engaging social-first, short-form videos
  • Experience with video-editing apps (Splice, Capcut, Magisto, Vixer, iMovie, etc.)
  • Excellent written communication / copywriting skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Extremely detail-oriented, "no task is too small" attitude
