We are looking for an experienced Brand Manager join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Schick, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare for Men, Jack Black and recently acquired Cremo Grooming… just to name a few!).
 
Now, Let’s Get Down to Business
We're looking for an experienced Senior Brand Manager to lead the development of the WS/Intuition Marketing Strategy for the UK market, in line with the Global and European brand strategies and positioning. As part of the Marketing Leadership Team, you will collaborate with the EU Marketing team, to align and contribute to the region’s strategic direction and positive transformation including sales and profit growth. Working closely with the commercial teams, you will lead your team to devise market brand plans and activities that drive executional excellence with customers and consumers/shoppers; delivering growth for the category and for Edgewell.

Here’s a sample of what you’ll get up to:

 

•    Strategic Development & Planning: Support the Marketing Director to develop a UK market brand strategy, based on insight, that drives brand awareness and brand growth. 
•    Brand Planning: Develop and own marketing plans that support, and are aligned to, the strategy of the brands and Edgewell. Create local market campaigns and activities that increase reach and engagement, educate and drive advocacy.
•    Brand Execution: Develop engaging, on brand campaigns that drives ROS for both retailers and Edgewell. Lead your team to strive for executional excellence in activation with customers and consumers/ shoppers delivering growth for the category and for Edgewell. 
•    New Product Development: Develop and own commercial and marketing plans for global and regional NPD (and local line extension) initiatives. Responsible for developing the commercial value chain and executional plans fit for market and channel to drive growth for the category and Edgewell.
•    Media Management: Create an engaging media plan, that drives brand awareness and reach. Direct and manage key media agencies to deliver against the plan.
•    EU Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the EU marketing team, to align and contribute to the region’s strategic direction and positive transformation including sales and profit growth..
•    Customer Meetings: Attend commercially important customer meetings, providing marketing input and expertise to win with customers
•    Budget Management: Manage the overall marketing budget for WS/Intuition. Allocate as necessary based on activation and ROI,  commercial rationale and brand insight.
•    People Management: Lead and manage direct reports through project catch ups, personal development reviews and coaching sessions. 
•    Category Vision: Collaborate with Category to ensure a category approach is in line with the business vision. Advise category on brand requirements and considerations based on consumer and shopper insight and execution needs.

Here’s what we are looking for:


•    Experience: Significant experience in consumer brand marketing for large organisations with broad portfolios (FMCG, Personal Care or Cosmetics)
•    Knowledge: Significant understanding of the UK market and key channels and experience in working in European Markets. Ideally strong understanding of the personal care.
•    Marketing Discipline: Experience in developing brand strategies that grow brands, enhance customer relationships and entice consumers/shoppers. Proven track record in delivering excellence in execution in all key marketing disciplines: ATL campaigns that drive brand awareness and affinity; TTL social campaigns and events to drive reach and BTL instore and online promotions and display
•    Budget Management: Proven ability to manage substantial budgets effectively and allocate as necessary based on activation and ROI
•    Consumer/Shopper Savvy: Able to generate and implement ideas of how to increase purchase and make brands first choice based on target consumers/shoppers. Drives value and volume of brands based on consumer/shopper insight and analysis for customer, channel and business.
•    Strategic Development: Able to lead in the development of the Marketing Plan aligning to Customer Plans. Proactively collects and analyses relevant data and course corrects where needed. 
•    Influencing: Uses well-developed interpersonal skills to build credible relationships both internally and externally. 
•    NPD Launches: Proven track record in the successful delivery of NPD launches, developing the commercial value chain and executional plans fit for market and channel.
•    People Management: Strong leadership skills with people management experience leading and coaching talent
•    Educated to degree level or equivalent in Marketing or business related.
