JOB SUMMARY

Member of the Fem Care Team that will support different areas within FemCare based on production needs. Responsible for operation of packing products or materials onto moving conveyor, correct shipper, or bags. Ensures safety, quality, production, and scrap standards meet operational objectives, and maintains a safe work environment.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  1. Placing materials or products into correct packaging (Bags/Shippers) and labeling them appropriately
  2. Verify product/material are correct per the production order.
  3. Inspect product, material, or packaging to ensure they are not damaged.
  4. Securely stack and wrap materials and products onto pallet.
  5. Complete required in process inspection per the area requirements.
  6. Required to utilize manual or automated pallet jack for material/product movement.
  7. Move materials or completed products and packages to established locations.
  8. Supplies Production lines with necessary raw materials.
  9. Maintains production, batch, and quality records as required.
  10. Perform rework as needed.
  11. Maintains work area in accordance with 5S standards.
  12. Must consistently meet prescribed safety, quality, production, and efficiency standards.
  13. Maintains strict control of all raw material usages, and product yields.
  14. Communicates process/mechanical abnormalities to Team Leader & Supervisor to facilitate corrections in a timely manner.
  15. Follows all Edgewell safety/cGMP policies and guidelines.
  16. Required to work overtime/alternate schedules as business needs dictate. 
  17. Responsible for daily turnover communication between shifts with fellow Team Members and Management.
  18. Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader and/or Supervisor.

  • Be aware of and follow the Environmental Policy and EH&S work instructions/procedures that apply to the job.
  • Perform every job safely, for the benefit of self, co-workers, contractors, and for the protection of facilities. This includes the use of required personal protective equipment and use of safety equipment/devices, guarding, as well as safe work practices.
  • Immediately report every job-related injury or illness, regardless of severity, to a team leader/supervisor.
  • Assist in investigating accidents as directed by your supervisor.
  • Take necessary actions to correct or stop any unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Review Material Safety Data Sheet instructions before working with any chemical product.
  • Maintain work area in safe condition by ensuring the work area is clean and orderly.

 

QUALITY ASSURANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately and timely complete all Quality checks and properly document.
  • Colleagues are responsible for their own quality and that of colleagues within their span of control.
  • Colleagues are responsible to follow all established Quality procedures and instructions.
  • Notify supervision for corrective action if and when defects are found and/or parts/processes do not conform to specifications.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Education:
    • HS Diploma or GED preferred, or the ability to achieve GED within 12 months of hire. Company assistance available.  
  • Experience:  
    • Over one month, up to six months.
